Fun in Vancouver!

We have just spent 10 brilliant days in Vancouver visiting my bro, Blair, and sis-in-law, Tanya. This time it was summer in Canada so it was great to wander round in shorts and t-shirts rather than huge padded jackets and scarfs. Our plan was to not do too much (given that we have done plenty over the last 5 months!) but just catch up with B & T and get some last summer fun before we start work on Monday. B & T live in a fantastic apartment close to downtown Vancouver and overlooking the beach so we were in a prime location for soaking up Canada's summer. Vancouver was hot - 35 degrees on some days - so we spent our afternoons down on the marina and/or Granville island (a small island about 10 minutes by boat from B & T's) drinking coronas and cocktails in the sun, were taken out dinner every night by either B & T or T's parents and sister and walked along the seawall for plenty of brunches at English Bay beach. It was an indulgant holiday involving plenty of food, drinks and relaxing. We were sad to leave but looking forward to Christmas when Blair and Tanya are coming over to London for some fun in the cold!
