Goodbye Canada

Tonight is our last night in the land of maple syrup, homeless people and snow. Anna's parents left last Wednesday so have been loitering about in Vancouver for the last week. Caught up with Anna's old work mate, Jeff, for a beer during the week and was nice to see a familiar face (see bottom photo) and hung out with Blair and Tanya and their mates, Jade and Tara (see photo). Tomorrow brings a new adventure in the form of Hong Kong (and a 13 hr flight). We spend tues and wed night in HK so have one full day to explore the city. On Thurs we take a short 2 hr flight to Bangkok where we spend 3 nights to arrange visas. Has been great fun in Canada with the hightlight being Whistler-Blackcomb by far. Was a bonus to learn flights from London to Vancouver are only 395 pounds so might pop back for a cheeky ski trip next winter. Next post will be from the bright lights of HK.
