TOAST in London and Zane...

Grant has spent the last week traveling to NZ on a whirlwind trip for his Dad's wedding. I had a busy week at work and then went down to Putney for the Toast festival - a New Zealand wine and food festival - on Saturday. The day started off fairly sunny but slipped back into the consistently crap weather that we have been having in London for the past couple of months and absolutely poured down. The park was a mud bath with everyone wearing plastic ponchos that were being handed out to shelter us from the rain and sliding around the mud in jandals. We still made the most of the day and had a ton of fun - drinking speights and eating Hells pizza while listening to the Black Seeds playing and catching up with all sorts of people from back home. It was a great day. Zane also arrived from NZ on Saturday morning so we ate brekkie at Jamie Olivers and headed out for dinner in Soho - awesome to see him as he is one of the last in my clan that we haven't seen since we left home. Today we spent the afternoon at a pub in the West End drinking in the sun and wandered around Carnaby Street and Regent Street. Back to work tomorrow :( but Grant will be home and I can't wait to see him!
