Elton in Glasgow

Last weekend we flew up to Glasgow with Tersh and Luke for the weekend to see Elton John play. With no real plans for the weekend, in keeping with every other holiday we have taken with T and L, we went out for boozy lunches and shopped around Glasgow on both Saturday and Sunday - always a great way to relax and enjoy the weekend away from work. Glasgow was actually not the dark hole we had been told it was (although having said that, we were visiting rather fleetingly), the shopping was great and there were some cool patios to sit and soak up the sun. There were plenty of punks which was quite amusing as we thought that for most of the world coloured mohawks were a thing of the past. Apparently not. Elton John was incredible - the crowd was loving him and sang along to all of the popular songs. It really was one of those memorable moments as he sang all of the old time favourites and managed to get everyone excited and up and dancing. Another thing ticked off our list. Scotland is a cool country - we are looking forward to spending a lot more time up there.
